Hi!

Does anyone have a recipe for a chocolate cookie called chocolate crackles? I got it from
Yankee magazine about 10 years ago and have managed to lose it. Thanks!

Bugs

I have a request. Does anyone have the recipe for the diet Breakfast Cookies? I buy mine
at Longs. They are under $2.00. I'd like to try to make them. So far I've had raisin oatmeal,
double choc chip, pumpkin spice. All are delicious, and very filling. WW points 3. Thanks
for any help.

Bobbie

I need a recipe for Fried Rice as well as for Egg Drop Soup. Has anyone ever made their
own before? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Lou

This is for Betty, who requested Smoothie recipes.

Breakfast Smoothie

1/2 cup orange juice
1 banana
6-7 frozen strawberries
4-5 slices frozen peaches
5-6 frozen blueberries
6-7 ice cubes
1 tsp. honey (optional)

Place all ingredients except ice cubes in blender. Puree until smooth. Add ice; puree
again. Pour into a glass; sprinkle nutmeg on top. Garnish with fresh mint.

Cantaloupe Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1/4 ripe cantaloupe
1/2 cup nonfat or low-fat yogurt
2 Tbsp. powdered milk
1-1/2 Tbsp. orange juice concentrate
2 tsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place unpeeled banana in freezer overnight. Remove banana from freezer; let sit 2
minutes. Remove skin. Cut banana into chunks; put in blender or processor. Seed
cantaloupe quarter; cut flesh from rind. Cut flesh into chunks; add to blender. Add
remaining ingredients; blend ’til smooth.

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

1 can non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri mix, slightly thawed
2 bananas
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup pineapple juice (optional)

Fill blender to almost full with ice and blend until smooth.

Orange Julius Smoothie

I drink one of these almost everyday for breakfast and LOVE it!

Smoothie

1/2 cup Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt
1 Cup of skim milk
1 small banana
1 cup of frozen fruit (your choice, but I like mixed berries)
1/2 teaspoon of honey (optional)

Blend in blender until smooth, pour in cup and enjoy. This makes a large smoothie and
can be split with someone else.

For Sandy Kaye,

This is my mother-in-law's recipe. It sounds just like what you are looking for. It is really
good and never lasted long! I always think of her when I make this pie.

Sugar Cream Pie

1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1 cup carnation milk

Blend together all ingredients and bring to boil. Add 1 Tbsp. butter, stir till melted. Put a
little flour and a little brown sugar in bottom of unbaked pie shell, if desired. Pour hot
mixture in bake pie shell. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees till done.

I was born and raised in the South to parents born and raised in the South. I have been
told I make really good iced tea. I use either Lipton or Luizianne family size tea bags. I
put 5 bags into a 4-cup measuring cup and fill with filtered cold water. Place cup in the
microwave and set for 7 minutes; after the 7 minutes, place a saucer on top for "steeping"
for about one hour. Now this is not for diabetics.....put 3 cups sugar into a one-gallon
plastic pitcher, add the steeped tea, stir to dissolve sugar, then fill with water, and stir.
You can use more or less water - it's purely a taste preference. The real key to this is
SUGAR! not Splenda or other artificial sweeteners. That's the southern way. Enjoy!
