8 Small Zip Baggies
Put 1/2 cup oats in a blender and blend on high until powdery. Set

salt. Store in an
airtight container.
To serve: Empty packet into a bowl. Add 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir

use more water.

chopped dried
apples.
Sweetened Oatmeal-
To each packet add 1 Tbsp. sugar or 1 packet 'Equal' artificial

packet.
Cookies n Cream Oatmeal-
add 1 crushed Oreo cookie and 1 Tbsp. non-dairy coffee creamer to each
packet.

add 1 tsp. sugar, and 1/2 tsp. ‘Pop Rocks’ candy to each packet. This
one is fun for
celebration days, such as birthdays.

I love Ranch Salad Dressing. I am looking for a thin Ranch recipe like
the Ranch at the
food places. Thanks,

Hello dear group,
I recently received my mother's recipes but the one I really wanted was
not there. Mother
used to make this banana salad, which I, being the stubborn child, would
not eat. There
rest of the family loved it and now I really would like to make it. My
"taste buds" have
changed. Anyway, I remember the bananas and maraschino cherries and it
must have
had brown sugar in it. Then she baked it. Doesn't it sound strange?
Anyway it was a
recipe from the late 1940's. I do hope someone can help me. Thanks in
advance.

SUGAR COOKIE ICING
"This icing dries hard and shiny and the colors stay bright. Choose as
many different food
colorings as you like.
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 teaspoons milk
2 teaspoons light corn syrup 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
assorted food coloring
1. In a small bowl, stir together confectioners' sugar and milk until
smooth. Beat in corn
syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is
too thick, add more
corn syrup.
2. Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired
intensity. Dip
cookies, or paint them with a brush.

Kansas Dirt Cake
1 - 20 ounce package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed (the cheapest
ones work the
best)
1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup powdered sugar
1 - 12 ounce frozen container of whipped topping, thawed
2 small boxes of instant French Vanilla pudding
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Divided crushed cookies and put 1/2 in bottom of buttered 9"x13" pan.
Cream margarine,
cream cheese and powdered sugar together; set aside. Combine milk,
vanilla and
pudding. Mix well. Mix in cream cheese mixture; then fold in whipped
topping. Spread
pudding mixture evenly over cookies in pan and top with the rest of the
cookies.
Thoroughly chill or freeze before serving. Yields: 12 - 16 servings.
Gummy worms can be added to the top of the cake or mixed when the
whipped topping
is added. This can also be made in a large clay pot (line it with heavy
duty aluminum foil)
and stick a bunch of silk flowers in the top of it. I have made
individual cups of it in small
paper cups.

This is the Dirt Cake Recipe for Stephanie --
Hope your family enjoys this as much as
my "Sailor" does -
1 lg bag Oreos (sometimes I use regular - sometimes double stuffed
1/2 cup melted butter
12 oz. tub cool whip
8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 sm. box instant vanilla pudding
1 sm box instant chocolate pudding ( you can use 2 small vanillas or 2
chocolates - we
like 1 & 1)
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
Crush cookies - I put them in a lg ziploc and let the grandgirls bang em
with a big spoon
or put them in an xtra lg bowl and they smush them with the potato masher.
Using a
clean 8 in flower pot, put a layer of dirt (the
Oreos) in bottom. Combine butter, cool whip,
cream cheese and powdered sugar - mix well. make a layer over "dirt".
Combine pudding,
milk and vanilla - blend until thickened - put a layer of this over last
layer and continue to
alternate layers making sure you end up with the "dirt "on top , Decorate
with gummy
worms, add dry flowers, etc. Refrigerate; use NEW garden trowel to serve
-- HAVE
FUN!!!!
