Do you have a recipe called Oatmeal Pancakes? A friend told me she had recently seen
one. I would appreciate it if you could send it to me. Thanks so much.

Pizza Dough Breadsticks- Has anyone successfully made these? A restaurant near my
home makes bread sticks out of pizza dough and they are fantastic. About 8" long, 1/2"
wide and 1/2" thick. I buy them from the restaurant but would like to make my own.
They are uncooked when you buy them, put them in a non-stick skillet over med. high
heat and brown. Thanks!

HI Kaylin!

My son is a wrestler and is not allowed to have carbonated beverages. I am looking for a punch recipe that kids will like that is not made with soda. Thanks!

Here are a few ideas for frog snack day:

How about frog gummies on top of a blue Jell-O pond? These could be made in individual
Dixie cups.

Frog food snacks: A Bag of plain m&m's (for bugs), a box of raisins (for flies), chow
mien noodles or small stick pretzels (for worms), goldfish crackers (for small fish).
Everyone helps pour and stir, and then spoon out their own snack.  This idea was from Perpetual preschool.com    Good luck!

Shelly,

You could make pretend frog's legs by making chicken wings:

5 lb's "frog legs" (chicken wings)
3/4 cup lemon juice or vinegar
crushed ice
1 cup milk
6 eggs, separated
2 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
1/4 tsp salt
salt and pepper
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
vegetable oil

Wash the "frog legs" thoroughly. Place in a large pan and sprinkle with lemon juice. Cover
with crushed ice and refrigerate 1 to 3 hours. Combine the milk, egg yolks, olive oil and
1/4 tsp salt. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold into the batter. Sprinkle the "frog legs"
with salt and pepper to taste. Dip "legs" into the batter then dredge in the flour. Fry until
golden brown in deep oil heated to 375 degrees. Drain on paper towels. Serve and Enjoy!

I made cute cupcakes for my grandson. I got the idea from Family Fun magazine.

Make your favorite flavor cupcakes with blue or white paper liners. Cool. For each
cupcake you will need:

Frosting tinted a watery blues
a large green gumdrop
2 white chocolate chips
black decorator frosting

Frost desired number of cupcakes with watery blue frosting. Slice gumdrop in half top to
bottom. Press the tip of chocolate chip into the cut side of the gumdrop near the bottom.
Put a dab of black frosting on center of white chip. These are the frogs eyes. Then put the
"eyes" standing up on the back half of the cupcake. When done, it looks like a frog just
poking the top of his head out of the water. Hope the preschool likes them

For Shelly looking for a 'frog' themed snack for her daughter's pre-school. I had a recipe I
used for my son's Halloween party at school, but, it was for 5th graders. You could
change it a bit to be more appealing to a younger group. It is very tasty, but it is named
"Squished Frogs"...keep in mind it was for Halloween, so a bit disgusting in the name I
guess. It was actually very cute and tasted great. It is like rice crispy bars, but using
corn flakes and it is dropped in 'globs'. The recipe calls for you to use 2 tsp. of green food
coloring in the melted butter and marshmallows before continuing with the recipe. You
then, after stirring in the corn flakes and M&M's were to drop them in 'globs' on wax paper
to cool. They were to look like a 'squished' frog with the M&M's being the eye balls
mixed up in the 'squished' frog! This seemed a bit cruel (lol) to me, so I just made the
recipe omitting the M&Ms and dropped the bright green mixture from spoonfuls, then
stuck two m&m's (yellow looked great) where the eyes should be (instead of mixed in
before dropping which made it look like the eye balls mixed up in the 'squished' frogs.
Doing it this way just made it look like a little green frog sitting. The big yellow eyeballs
looking up from the bright green mounds was really cut. If you wanted them to look
'squished' you would flatten each 'glob' out a bit before sticking in the two eyeballs. They
were a huge hit and the kids loved them. They tasted great, too. Just an idea in case
you need it. The recipe is:

Squished Frogs

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
40 large marshmallows (10 ounce bag)
5 cups corn flakes cereal
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (I used 1 tsp.)
2 teaspoons green food coloring
M&Ms plain chocolate candy

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add marshmallows and cool over low heat, stirring
constantly until melted and mixture is syrupy. Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract
and food color. Mix. Add corn flakes and mix until well coated and bright green. Drop
from spoonfuls onto wax paper and quickly add two M&Ms for eyes, or if you want
'squished' frogs flatten slightly after dropping on wax paper and then quickly add the two
eyeballs while mixture is warm and M&Ms will stick. Again, the 'squished' frogs obviously
would be better for older kids and at Halloween most likely!
Have fun!
